Meet Patrick

As a part of the Mindful Rehab team, I am a Mental Health Occupational Therapist with over twelve years of applied experience helping adults navigate complex mental health issues and optimize their everyday function.

Through my doctoral research in workplace wellness & mental fitness, executive coach training, and athletic experience, I bring a practical, function-focused lens to therapy.

My approach is particularly tailored for professional leaders and individuals balancing high expectations, intensive stress, or rigorous demands. Whether you are dealing with burnout, trauma, or major life transitions, my goal is to help you maintain presence under complexity and build the psychological flexibility needed to perform and thrive.

Frequently Asked Questions

What should clients know about working with you?
I believe therapy shouldn't feel sterile or strictly clinical. Drawing from my doctoral research, applied behavioral-science experience, and athletic background, I bring a practical, performance-oriented approach to our sessions. We flesh things out together, looking at your whole life - your environment, your mind, and your daily realities. Whether you are a professional leader or an adult navigating complex demands, my goal is to work collaboratively with you to build psychological flexibility so you can perform, recover, and thrive.
Do you offer free consultation calls?
Yes, I offer a free 15-minute consultation. This provides an opportunity for us to connect over the phone or video, discuss your needs, and ensure my relational, performance-oriented approach is the right fit for you before committing to a full session.
Are your services covered by insurance?
Yes, as a Registered Occupational Therapist, my services are covered by most extended health benefit plans under "Occupational Therapy" or "Psychological Services/Mental Health." Receipts are provided after every session for you to submit for reimbursement. Please check the specifics of your plan to confirm your annual coverage limits.
Where do sessions take place?
I am local to Calgary and offer a few flexible modalities. We can meet via secure Virtual Sessions (available to anyone across Alberta), schedule an On-Location meeting, or utilize Walking Meetings. Walking meetings are a great way to combine physical movement with psychological processing, which can often make challenging conversations feel more approachable. Please note: home visits include additional fees for travel time.
Do I need a doctor's referral?
No, a doctor's referral is not required to book a private appointment in Alberta. You can reach out and book directly. However, it is a good idea to check with your insurance provider, as a handful of specific benefit plans may request a doctor's note for reimbursement purposes.
